NEET Pattern
Mode of Examination – The NEET exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based).
Type of Questions – The NEET exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
Exam Duration – The total duration of the exam is 3 hours.
Language – The question paper is available in 11 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Total Questions – There are a total of 180 questions in the exam.
Sections – The question paper consists of three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
Marking Scheme – Each question carries 4 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. There is no deduction of marks for unattempted questions.
Syllabus – The NEET syllabus is based on the topics covered in Class 11 and Class 12 under the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Eligibility – Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects are eligible to appear for the exam.
